Iranian film,”Majan” directed by Rahman Seyfi Azad acquired the award for the best film in the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF), also known as Festival of the Dhow Countries.
The Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) is an annual film festival held in Zanzibar, Tanzania. It has been described as the largest cultural event in East Africa, hosting films from more than 60 countries.
The festival, held from July 7 to 15, hosted 20 films from countries such as Germany, Kenya, and Italy in “long features” section which awarded Majan the best film.
“Are You Volleyball” by Mohammad Bakhshi, “Golnesa” by Sattar Chamani Gol and “When I became a Butterfly” by Arash Zaare were the other participants of Iran in the festival.
