Tehran (ISNA) – APSA Lifetime Achievement Award will go to late prominent Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami as his 77th international prize coincident with his 77th birthday.
Kiarostami received 3 international prizes before the Islamic Revolution and 74 prizes after it.
Kiarostami received the first international award for his film “The Experience” in 1974.
The 11th Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) will be presented in Brisbane on November 23 and will honor Kiarostami’s achievement with a special prize for the first time in the history of the event.
The APSA Academy also confers a posthumous Academy membership on him.
